Union Comm Supports BRICS Tech Competition

As a proud BRICS international committee partner, Union Communications Hong Kong Limited (“Union Comm”), a leading policy advocacy and communications agency, supports the official launch of the 3rd SUSONG Cup Future Industrial Technology Innovation Competition – BRICS Track. The competition is co-hosted by the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park (China-SIIP) and the Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA, https://www.bjexchange.cn/), and is organized in collaboration with BRICS committee partners.
The competition is now open for global applications and aims to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and multilateral collaboration across BRICS countries and beyond. Launched as a flagship innovation initiative by the Xiamen Municipal Government, Fujian Province in China, the SUSONG Cup is designed to attract high-potential tech startups and research-based commercialization projects in three key domains:
Future Technology/Information: including quantum communication, autonomous driving, AI-satellite Internet, next-gen networks, IoT, and cloud computing.
Future Materials: covering rare earths, semiconductors, energy materials, superconductors, and advanced membrane technologies.
Future Health: focusing on cell and gene therapy, medical devices, innovative pharmaceuticals, and epidemic prevention technologies.
This year marks the first time a dedicated BRICS Track is included, offering targeted opportunities for companies and research teams from BRICS+ countries to expand into China. Participants can compete for prizes totaling over RMB 3.8 million, including:
First Prize: Science and Technology Star Glory Award – RMB 1,000,000 (1 project)
Second Prize: Entrepreneur Pioneer Award – RMB 600,000 (2 projects)
Third Prize: Innovation Potential Award – RMB 300,000 (5 projects)
Mentor Award – RMB 20,000 (8 mentors)
Top 20 finalists will be invited to Xiamen in September–October 2025 for the offline finals, high-level forums, investment matchmaking, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges.

Union Comm is also the lead communications and research partner behind the BRICS Incubation and Technology Commercialization Report, which will be released later this year.
